&.Porcelain Charade

&.Now that Porcelain Charade had claimed his own piece of land, he felt that it was necessary to explore his surroundings. He wanted to get acquainted with the other lands about him, and this was the best way. The Gypsy Vanner walked into the lands known as the Midnight Dunes. He had heard that other herds lived here and decided to check it out for himself. The pallid white and ebony black stallion snorted as he came into the lands. The stag's eyes looked around with wonder, these lands looked nothing like his.

&.Tossing his mane gently, Porcelain Charade waited to see if anyone was going to show up. This horse was rather patient, so he decided to wait for a while. A small shudder went down his spine however, for it was darker here than in the Pine Brush Prairie. He was part of the lighter alliance, and that could very well have been the reason. Although Charade was brave, and was undetered. The equine would complete his mission that he came to do. Maybe the two herds could come to some sort of agreement. Who knows?

&.Porcelain Charade flicked his tail behind his frame and shifted his weight on his hooves, making his feathering move as well. Also, his ears rotated on his skull, listening for sounds of movement. Thus far, the beast could not pick up a single sound. Hopefully he hadn't come here for nothing. But it wasn't like he had anything else to do at this very moment. Charade hadn't got his herd together yet, so he didn't have to hang around and protect them, for now. In a while, he would go back make sure no one was intruding on his land though.

&.The stag's brown eyes continued to search the territory. He was grateful that, thus far, no one had harrassed him. Horses can be very protective of their land, and Porcelain Charade guessed that the owners of this one were no different. The stallion would just have to wait and see though, he may be pleasantly surprised.

The mare was watching over her new lands from that same summit she had claimed this terra from. Her orbs caught sight of movement. Nares flared and drew in the scent that blew towards her on the breeze. Lids narrowed. Brute, it was a brute. He better not be thinking about trying to claim the Dark Peaks. This terra was hers.

The banshee rolled back onto her quarters and headed down the slope, angling to come around to approach him from behind. She wove her way through the brush at a decent clip until she was near the area the brute was in. Then she slowed to a stalking pace. She moved carefully, placing each dagger with care to move as silently as possible. She approached stealthily from behind the heavy-set brute, hoping he hadn't heard her. The wind was on Dominitrix's side, the brute was up-wind of her.

When she was about 10 feet away she launched herself forward, auds laced back against her skull and she charged at him, aiming to just barely miss. Her skull snaked out and she also aimed a nip - a hard one - at his back. Once she was clear of him, she dropped her quarters and slid to a stop and whirled around to face him.

You're on my lands boy. That means I'm in charge. If you can't accept that, then clear the hell out of Dark Peaks unless you want to be taught it the hard way. Her auds were no longer laced to her skull, but they were back. She stood tall and proud, banner flung high. Mocha orbs glaring. She would not tolerate a brute on her lands trying to lord over her. She barely tolerated brute's lording over her on their own lands. It would not be pretty if this one decided to challenge her dominance in this terra. Not pretty at all.

&.Porcelain Charade

&.The male stallion had no idea that anyone was behind him. He was paying strict attention to everything that was infront of him, and grown ignorant of his other surroundings. This was a very, very stupid move. He was in unknown surroundings and he had let his guard down. At this point, he felt like a bumbling idiot. When something decided to grace him with their presence, he clearly wasn't pleased. The Gypsy Vanner lunged forward with a snort. He remained unscathed, but rather surprised and displeased. This wasn't exactly the way that he wanted to start off.

&.Charade flicked his tail and turned around to face the female equine and raised a sort of brow at her. His ears twitched as he listened to her words and was amazed at what he heard. This male had no thought of challenging her, and that wasn't just because of the manner in which she behaved. When he first arrived, he wanted to make peace so that there would be no harsh feelings. He hoped that this status could still be maintained. The Vanner didn't quite know though. This girl seemed like a tough one, and his decision to come here might not have been the best one.

&."If you'll take the time to listen and heed my words, you'll know that my efforts in coming here aren't of that nature," Porcelain Charade stated. He shifted his weight, and the feathers on his hooves danced slightly as he did so. "What I came to do was try and make an acquaintance, if you would also choose to do so," he continued as he watched her. Any sudden moves, and he would surely back off. This stallion wasn't a pushover, but he knew his boundaries, especially on another's territory. He wasn't stupid, that much was clear.

It was pathetic how he had grown ignorant of his surroundings behind him. Not that she cared terribly. Though his quick dodge did make up for his ignorance - slightly. As she watched him, he seemed unsure of what to think of her. Good, she liked throwing others off balance.

As he spoke, one ear flicked forward to catch every word. She thought it over, trying to figure out if there was a superior motive to this claim of wanting to make an 'acquaintance' as he put it. The brute could be of the same leanings as she, and trying to put one over on her. Or he could be one of those odd group of equine who would never pick a side. Worse yet he could be a pansy peace-loving 'honorable' sort that followed every rule and law and were scandalized by someone using everything available to them to meet their goals.

Lids narrowed slightly. What do you mean by 'acquaintance'? Simply to meet me or do you speak of something more? Dominitrix demanded. She was unsure of what he wanted. But proceed cautiously she would not. This was her territory, she could do as she pleased without thought. Well at least for now as she didn't have to worry about lesser ranked herd members trying to steal her right to rule over the Dark Peaks.

&.Porcelain Charade

&.Charade raised a furred brow at the female that stood before him. He was most definately confused by her question. In this stallion's opinion, there was only one type of alliance. That meant that if one of them got into some kind of peril, the other would come to their aid. It was as simple as that. Why was that so difficult for her to understand? With a short sigh, the beast told this to the mare. He switched his brush-like tail behind his massive frame and wondered if it was a mistake in coming here. The Vanner stood his ground however, and waited to see if she was going to accept the offer. But then again, he considered what lands he was standing on. They were quite the static opposite of his, for he indeed was a light horse. But the leader of these lands didn't look so similar. She seemed to have an aura about her that didn't sit well with Porcelain Charade. He hoped that this wouldn't turn into a fight, that wouldn't be good in the slightest.

The raised brow clarified for her. She rolled her eyes as he proceeded to explain. I know what an alliance is. You called it an 'acquaintance'.[b] She eyed him more carefully, considering how he spoke, and the fact he was requesting an alliance. [b]You call Requimeer king yes? She didn't think it was possible - a pansy light treading on dark lands looking to make an alliance? Not that it didn't make her feel gleeful inside at the prospect that she had a pansy stud to toy with.

Speaking of toying with him, and of the light 'king'...that gave her an idea. A devious, dangerous idea. An ambitious one. And this stud had given the idea, and was conveniently here and giving her a glorious opportunity to put it into motion. She hid all her thinking from her expression, not wanting to give anything away.

She relaxed her stance some, not quite so tense, but still tall and proud. Auds came up and one pricked toward him. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to make an alliance with you, despite our differences...you can never trust others that follow the same path as I. Too many are much too ambitious for their own good. Our alliance would need to be kept secret though, to keep it unexpected - a....surprise in the event one of us has to call on the other.

She felt no reason to explain her behavior. He would figure out in time that she was just a dominant fae. Always had been, always will be. For her plan did involve seeing much of him. In secret of course.

&.Porcelain Charade

&.The creature known as Charade must admit that he was surprised at the female's answer. Being where he was, Porcelain Charade already had his own preconceived notions of what would occur on this land. No fight between the two happened to flare up, and for that, the beast was glad. He didn't want to have battle someone on unknown lands, and especially one of the opposite gender. This creature hadn't even explored the complete depths of his own habitat. Bloodshed on someone else's territory would make that fact even worse. Especially for the newly proclaimed King of the lights, though there weren't too many horses around these days to govern over. The responsibility would pick up in time though, the stallion was sure. He just had to give it time to prosper and grow. Rushing into things got many a horse in trouble. That was a mistake that he didn't want to make. Little did he know, he could have done that very thing.

&.With a nod, he made the terms of this deal more official. It wasn't everyday that two horses of different alliances joined up so easily. He was slightly suspicious, but didn't really voice his thoughts. Porcelain Charade could keep a secret, and perhaps she was able to too. He couldn't read her features all that well, so he hadn't the slightest inclination that she was up to something more. Charade let a short smile greet his own features, before it disappeared as fast as it came. Things had been going well thus far, and he had no reason to complain whatsoever. He had his own patch of land, and another horse to go to as a sort of insurance thing. Life was divine at the moment.
